Our client is a global leader specializing in smart technology and security solutions focused on a connected home. They are seeking a Channel Director to focus specifically on Professional (Pro) B2B ecosystem (distributors, dealers, and installers). Operating out of the Greater Chicago, IL area on a hybrid schedule, this leader will step into a highly collaborative, inclusive culture that offers the backing of a major global enterprise alongside an aggressive total compensation package and short-term incentives.
Job Description:
- Architect Pro Channel Vision: Design and spearhead the overarching go-to-market strategy for the professional ecosystem, creating mutually beneficial joint business plans that align dealer tiers, distribution models, and installer personas with corporate growth targets.
- Launch & Commercialization Execution: Translate complex product and service roadmaps into tactical commercial field plans—managing pricing structures, incentive programs, marketing collateral, and launch readiness to drive rapid partner adoption.
- Cross-Functional & Matrix Leadership: Serve as a high-visibility liaison across Sales, Product, and Finance to optimize consensus volume forecasts, evaluate ROI metrics, and mentor an internal team of direct and indirect strategic contributors.
- 10+ years of deep experience across Sales, Strategic Planning, or Channel Management, with a dedicated focus on professional distribution networks, installer ecosystems, or dealer-to-business pathways.
- 5+ years working within consumer or commercial durable goods manufacturing/distribution environments (experience with connected IoT hardware and services is highly preferred).
- 5+ years of direct people management experience, possessing a proven ability to calmly navigate ambiguity, challenge the status quo, and confidently present strategic recommendations to executive-level stakeholders.
Location: This is a hybrid work environment (3x/week in office) based in the Greater Chicago, IL area with the ability to travel 25%. Willing to consider relocation.
