Job Description:
- Hands-on Management & Team Optimization: Directly lead and mentor the multi-location field service, calibration, and repair teams, requiring a hands-on approach to establish workflows, optimize operations, and improve utilization to meet the objective of increasing the field service gross margin by approximately 5%.
- Strategic Vision & Revenue Growth: Develop and execute a long-term service strategy, which includes identifying and pursuing acquisition targets for expansion, developing new offerings, and implementing organic growth strategies to drive service revenue and scale the $30 million business to over $60 million.
- Core Operational Oversight: Oversee the Technical Support team, ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality assurance standards, manage departmental budgets and forecasts, and serve as the primary contact for escalated customer service issues.
Requirements:
- 5+ years in a leadership role overseeing service operations in a technical or engineering-focused industry, ideally with products requiring calibration.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing service strategies, and proven ability to manage budgets and analyze data.
- Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field and strong technical acumen, excellent leadership and communication skills.
Location: This is a hybrid opportunity, where candidates must be based in the Greater Boston, MA area with the ability to work on-site on-site in Canton with national travel (approx. 25%).
