Job Description:
- Client Engagement & System Specification: Build and expand relationships with existing and new clients, understanding their application needs and supporting them in specifying the technical requirements for new systems or upgrades
- Sales Strategy & Negotiation: Co-develop sales strategies for the North American market, including structured acquisition of new clients. The role involves preparing and submitting offer documents and participating in or leading contract negotiations.
- Project Follow-up & Travel: Follow up on leads and quotations, and engage in the manufacturing, assembly, and final acceptance phases on-site with customers and project managers.
- The role requires approximately 20% domestic travel to customer sites and some international trips as needed.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer or Technical Sales role, focused on production systems, engineered systems and automation technologies.
- The ability to engage in technical discussions with R&D teams. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of client facing experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
Location: Ideally targeting candidates based in Detroit, MI (Hybrid 3 days a week in office) or remote in Raleigh, NC or Pittsburgh, PA.
