They are looking for an Outside Plant Construction Technician II to join their growing field tech team in Helena, Montana.


Job Description:

• The Outside Plant Construction Technician will construct and build aerial and underground fiber networks, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements during all operations.
• The Outside Plant Construction Technician will operate heavy equipment and tools for excavation, installation, and repair of fiber infrastructure. This includes location of existing facilities, operation of directional drilling equipment, excavators, cable plows, trenchers, and miscellaneous construction equipment.
• The Outside Plant Construction Technician will document work accurately, review GIS maps, blueprints, and diagrams necessary for fiber optic system installations.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in construction, fiber optics installation, and maintenance.
• Skill in operating various heavy machinery and construction equipment.
• Understanding of cable technology, including fiber optics.
• Understanding of home and small business networking installation and operation
• Must have a valid driver's license. A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a PLUS.
