They're now looking for a strategic Outside Sales Representative to expand their reach and support their growing business throughout New England!
Job Description:
As an Outside Sales Representative, you'll be a critical player in our commercial operations, primarily focused on sourcing and acquiring scrap metals directly from businesses. This isn't just about transactions; it's about building lasting partnerships and becoming a trusted expert in the dynamic world of metal recycling.
- Strategic Sourcing: You'll proactively identify and target industrial clients across the manufacturing, municipal, construction, and auto salvage markets to purchase their excess material and scrap metal for recycling. This involves leveraging referrals, networking, cold-calling/knocking, and following up on inbound leads.
- Negotiate & Manage: You'll be responsible for finding new suppliers, expertly negotiating pricing and purchasing agreements, and coordinating all aspects of the acquisition process. This includes scheduling deliveries, overseeing inspections, and addressing any quality or environmental concerns.
- Build Relationships: You'll be the face of our company in the field, building and nurturing strong relationships with a diverse client base throughout the New England region.
Requirements:
- 3-5+ years of outside field sales experience, with a preference for candidates who have sold scrap, recycling or similar services within construction or industrial manufacturing markets.
- Ability to engage with potential customers and customize your sales approach to win their confidence and their business.
- Upbeat, positive, and outgoing personality with the ability to work independently and manage your territory effectively.
Location: This is a field-based sales role where ideal candidates will be based within the Providence, RI / Brockton, MA / Bourne, MA / New Bedford, MA areas. Candidates must be comfortable being on-site at a recycling facility for a training period and 1x/week once ramped. Expected to be in the field meeting clients 3-4x/week within the region.

Total Comp: $100,000 - $130,000 year one; $150,000+ year two
