Our client is on a search for a Business Development Director focused on selling Contract Research Services to Mid Size and Emerging Pharmaceutical Companies. They have been in business for over 50 years but have revamped their Commercial Go-To-Market strategy after several acquisitions, allowing them to offer a more robust and global solution to their clients. They focus on supporting the medical, clinical and commercial aspects of launching a new product to market. They have an established presence and are looking to expand on their Business Development efforts across the globe, starting with their team in North America. This Business Development Director will be targeting organizations throughout North America.

Requirements:
Location: This is a remote work environment and ideal candidates will be located in the Central Territory (Austin, Houston, Chicago) or Northeast Territory (Boston, New Jersey, New York). Candidates must willing to travel up to 50% as needed to meet with key clients. Must be vaccinated.

Job Description
This is an opportunity to join a growing organization that has a strong brand presence in the emerging and mid-market Biotech/Pharma industry sector.
- The Business Development Director will be focused on identifying prospects and opportunities, driving strategy, developing relationships and winning new business within emerging and mid-sized accounts.
- The Business Development Director will be heavily involved in the discovery and scoping strategies for various projects to present the best solution and must be comfortable writing and responding to RFPs.
- The Business Development Director will be working cross functionally within the organization to build a 'win strategy' by leveraging industry experts to provide a complete solution
Requirements:
- 5+ years of demonstrated success in business development within a Contract Research Organization (CRO) focused on the BioTech and/or Pharmaceutical industry
- Must be comfortable spending the majority of time focused on business development strategy, account penetration, and building strategic initiatives with Chief Commercial Officers and Chief Medical Officers.
- Strong presentation skills and experience working within Salesforce.com, Teams, Zoom, Outlook and other sales tech-solutions
