Our client is an internationally based technology company specializing in custom computing solutions that has been around for over 20 years. Their expertise lies in designing, manufacturing, and integrating specialized computing systems, including industrial and defense computing, embedded systems, and IoT solutions, for various industries such as defense, automation, and healthcare. They are expanding their efforts throughout North America and looking for a talented Business Development Manager to focus on net new revenue within a key targeted vertical.
Job Description:
- Lead Generation and Customer Development: This includes creating targeting plans, proactively engaging potential customers, and developing key accounts to increase business.
- Relationship Building and Networking: Focus on nurturing relationships, attending industry events, and maintaining detailed records in the CRM system (Hubspot).
- Quoting, Proposals, and Target Management: Preparing proposals, managing sales pipelines, and ensuring forecasts meet sales targets.
- 3-5+ years of experience selling hardware solutions; ideally Specialized Computers (including integrated racks, tablets, panel PCs and embedded computing), Integrated Systems, Sub-Systems and IoT Device Design.
- Key Vertical Focus: Industrial Automation or Medical Device
- Ideal candidates will have experience working for an internationally based organization, be process oriented and have a strong-track record of success building high-performing teams.
Location: This is a remote opportunity where candidates must be comfortable working flex hours as needed and traveling to customers throughout North America (25-40% travel based on location). Ideal candidates will be based in the Central time zone.
